Do you mean I should remove my existing Linksys router in the basement and then add two mesh nodes, one in the basement and one in an upstairs room?
Would an alternative be to leave the Linksys in place, disable the Wi-Fi on the Linksys and add say a single node mesh like eero on the first floor and hard wired to one of the cat 6 lines in the upstairs room?
