Call your VM by holding the 1 key on the dial pad
then navigate to the following.
voicemail
4 – personal options
2 – administrative options
9 – Answering Language
I believe the Answering language will offer a US accent vs. UK. If that does not work, I recommend calling Consumer Cellular tech support.
