How to finalize a DVD-R on Windows 10 so it will play on a standard DVD player?

My DVD-R was recorded using Windows Media Player 12.

Windows Media Player 12 does not seem to have a finalize option.

I have recently learned how to transfer cell phone videos to my desktop computer (windows 10) and then burn them to a DVD-RW disk using Windows Media Player. The videos play fine on my computer but will not play at all on the DVD player that is hooked up to my TV. Please tell me how to make my home made DVDs compatable and playable on my home DVD player.
