Macbook Pro Security?

We just bought our grandson a Macbook Pro. We want to preinstall security since we are relatively certain he won’t before he goes online. Apple wants an Apple ID in order to even look for a program.
1. Is there a “guest” ID or another way to install it?
2. What security is good, not the Russian Kaspersky?
