Antenna to Toshiba Fire TV
I recently have purchased a large (10’x14′) antenna, rotor, pre-booster and connected it through 50 ft of good coax cable to my Toshiba 52-inch Amazon Fire TV. When I go to Live TV, my TV discovers 38 channels and instructs me to go find them on the On Now Row of the Home Screen. Not only are the channels not appearing, there is no “On Now” row on the Home Screen.
This is Amazon’s Support response.
Hello @Alison Pierce, welcome to the Forums! If you’re having trouble watching live TV with an external live TV source (like an antenna). To assist you better, please confirm which Amazon marketplace is your account associated with (.com,.uk,.in, etc.) and your location as well.
Here are some things to try:– Reposition your HD antenna higher or lower. Move it away from objects that can block your signal or move it closer to a window.
– Make sure that the coaxial cable is securely connected to both the “RF” input on the back of your TV and to your external live TV source.
– Try scanning for channels again. Go to “Settings” and select “Live TV.” Then, select “Channel Scan.”Keep in mind that channel availability depends on your location and the strength of digital signals broadcast in your area. You can use the Channel Guide or the On Now row to browse live TV channels.
Note: The channel guide is only available if your Fire TV Smart TV is connected to an external live TV source, such as an HD antenna.
To access the channel guide:
Press and hold the Home button on your voice remote.
Select Channel Guide and then the channel you want to watch.
To browse what’s currently on the air, use the On Now row on the Home screen and select a channel. To go back to the On Now row, press down on your remote’s directional keypad.Note: At this time, you can’t “flip” or “surf” up and down the channel tuner. To browse programming currently on the air, you must use the On Now row.
Please let me know how it goes.
She pretty told me to do what I had already told her that I had done. I really would like to get rid of my Direct TV service. I have all the channels I need through my Starlink antenna and all I need is the local broadcast channels.
