Linux choices in face of Win 10 issues
Have a Win 10 Pro 64-bit PC that I am thinking about setting up a Dual-Boot with Linux Mint Cinnamon. It has 1 TB SSD drive and 16 GB ram but cannot be upgraded to Win 11. I am unsure how much drive space to partition to Linux. (Is it just for the OS area or all data?) If I do the dual boot approach, does that mean any data I have on ‘windows side’ is not visible to the Linux apps? If I consider the other approaches, virtualization or WSL, then do I have to worry about security issues from Win 10 being out of date when I am using a Linux app? One last question, do Linux apps need to be ‘connected’ to the internet when using (not downloading)?
