Hi, I wanted to find out how to access Iomega zip files. Back in the 1990’s I got the click of death and now every disk is corrupt saying: Corrupt Header Found, The Archive is Corrupt, Main Archive Header is Corrupt. Also, I may have transferred those corrupt files to my computer but I’m unable to access those as well, those files are labelled: MyImage.PQI, .002, .003, .004, .005, .006. I tried unzipping them with no success.

      Any ideas?

      Thanks for your help!

      Hello Mark,

Thanks for visiting us on the Forums with your question. I researched the .PQI file extension and discovered these were most likely created by a program called Power Quest Drive Image 5.0 or possibly an earlier version.

You may need to use an older computer running Windows XP, worth a shot on Windows 10.

Once you have the program installed you can then interpret or uncompress the files you have backed up.

Lastly, on Archive.org I found a copy of the bootable media that would allow you to browse the data files you backed up.
