Apple Podcast help for the Komando Show
Posted by MaryW on April 10, 2022 at 7:17 amCannot get signed back in to Apple podcasts for the Kim Komando show. I used it for quite a while it suddenly quit working I got the feed instructions from the website however it tells me that they cannot find the feed or the server etc.
Is Apple Podcast no longer providing the Komando Show Podcast for Komando Subscribers?
The only way i can find is to $5.99 per month
Please advise.

The url of the feed has not changed and I verified it is working on both android and apple devices.
On the iPhone it was under shows and “add a show by url” entering
https://community.komando.com/feed/tkks/
Enter this URL, then enter your Komando Community username or associated email address, along with your password, when prompted.Can you reboot your phone and try again when you get a chance and let us know how it goes?

I did reboot both my phone and my ipad. It still will not work.
This time when i tried on my ipad it did not respond, did not even give me an error message…. (Tried several times)
On my phone it just again said “Podcast cannot be added because the server or feed cannot be found”Its strange since i had used Apple Podcast for long time until it somehow removed The Komando Show from my list of podcasts.

Sorry for delay Mary, on your phone, can you visit the feed url from Safari? It will ask for a username and password, use the ones you use to login to community. If it does not load a bunch of text in your browser, there is a network issue and you can reset you network settings
Reset your network settings to the defaults by going to Settings > General > Reset and tap on Reset Network Settings

Do you mean to simply type the Komando show url feed in the search line in Safari?
I did try that and it stated:Safari cannot open the page because two many redirects occurred.
Is that the network issued you mentioned?

Thanks Mary, yes the feed url should ask for a password and username, not give that error
When resetting your network, it will delete all of the wifi networks and passwords from the device, you will have to re-join those networks

Ok.
I also used the url feed on Safari on my iPhone and it did work, however it would not give me the opportunity to enter my name and password.
I could only subscribe and pay the fee.
Is there a work-around for that?

Thanks Mary, I saw on the latest iPhone it asks to look in the app store for a default program to reach the rss feed. This lets us know the feed can be reached, so the problem lies within the podcasts app. Can you download the overcast app and add the show using the url and your username and password?

I was able to use the Overcast app on both my iPhone and my iPad and I was able to sign in using my password etc.Have many others had an issue like this with the Podcast app?

We had someone a year or so ago, I believe the solution for them was to factory reset the phone and they were able to use the apple podcast app again.

The show podcasts on my ipod touch have not been updated since May 28, 2022. When are the new show podcasts usually sent? I used to receive new ones every Saturday afternoon.

They are released Saturdays at 10 am mst, june 4th and 11th are in the feed. Have you changed your password for this site as the feed uses that?

I have not changed my password and I had this same problem last month. Last month two podcasts finally showed up on the same day, which I believe was a Thursday.

Jackielee can you try overcast on the iPod touch? I am trying to determine if the issue is the app or the network connectivity.

I contacted Apple and they were able to help me remedy this problem. Apparently it was a network connectivity problem. Any suggestions as to what to do if this happens again?
