Apple Podcast Subscription Cost

      I am a member of the Komando community and want to continue listening to the Kim Show podcasts on Apple Podcasts.
      Apple now wants a $5.99 monthly subscription. I thought the Kim Show podcast was included in the membership.
      Am I wrong?

      Hi John:
      Thanks for your quick reply. Yes, I did follow those directions before I asked the forum, but when the Subscribe icon appeared, there was a $5.99 below the button. I didn’t go any further, because I didn’t want to be charged monthly for the Apple Kim Show podcast in addition to my Komando membership.
      If I had hit Subscribe, would it have allowed me to put in my Komando id/pw to bypass the subscription rate, or will I still be charged by Apple?

      Open your podcast app > Click library > click add a show by URL if you are subscribed to nothing (or three dots in top right & then add show by URL) > type in https://community.komando.com/feed/tkks/ > click follow, you will now be prompted for your community.komando.com username and password.

      Plese try to follow these steps and let me know where things differ on your phone. If this does not work please let me know what version of IOS you are using and what model phone or tablet.

      Sorry for the delay. I tried it on my ipad…success!
      However, each time I type in the URL on my iphone, the message now is:
      Unable to Follow Podcast cannot be added because the server or feed cannot be found.
      I am trying to type very carefully, but maybe it is a user error (!), because the IPAD Url worked fine.
      I will try to copy your link and paste it in & see what happens.
      IOS: 14.7.1
      IPhone 11 Pro

      Update on the Iphone Podcast attempt:
      Deleted history, cookies in settings.
      Copied, pasted URL: no go.
      Deleted the Podcast app and reinstalled.
      Same message: Unable to Follow.

      Hello,

      You may want to try rebooting your iPhone and trying again, lastly, you could try to sync your iPhone with your Mac.

      Yes, did boot IPhone. My IPad (not using a Mac) & Iphone are one the same IOS.
      One thing, though, I am not subscribed to Apple Music. That shouldn’t make a difference, because I can add free podcasts. Just wanted you to know.

        Were you able to fix the issue with Apple Podcasts on your Iphone?
        I am having a similar problem on my iPad.

      Hi Mary:
      No, I was not and I also emailed Tech Support a couple of days ago on this site, but I haven’t heard back yet.
      I am wondering if the url link is outdated(?) for my iphone, because after I input the url, it does not direct me to the login screen, as I pay a yearly subscription already to the Komando website.
      It is inconvenient, as I like to listen to the podcasts on my Iphone while I exercise outdoors.

      What I meant about the login to the podcast is that the app directs me to the subscription page for the Komando podcasts, at 5.99 a month. I believe the podcast is free if I already subscribe to the Komando website.

      Hello all, I have confirmed if you follow these directions on any iOS 15 device it will work.

      Open your podcast app > Click library > click add a show by URL if you are subscribed to nothing (or three dots in top right & then add show by URL) > type in https://community.komando.com/feed/tkks/ > click follow, you will now be prompted for your community.komando.com username and password.

      LDat, you must use your community.komando.com credentials when prompted.

        This will not work for me….
        I used Apple Podcast for a long time, some time ago the Komando Show disappeared.
        I have followed these instructions to set it up again and it simply will not
        work. (It will allow me to sign up and pay the $5.99)
        Any suggestions?
