What does this mean for you right now?
If you’re already a paying member, you have nothing to worry about. You’ll move forward at your current rate, no price increase, no surprises. Depending on which plan you’re on, you’ll also unlock access to new features as they roll out. We’re taking care of our long-time members first. This community exists because of you. Every question answered, every tip shared, every returning visit added up to something special, and we intend to honor that as we move into this next chapter.

I’m really the first? Wow, maybe that says something. SO love Kim and Andrews’ podcasts, they make me laugh and often make my day. That said, I just got surprised (my wife, whom I respectfully called the Banker, just passed;-/ – with the $45 yearly community payment I signed up for long ago. I haven’t used this community very much because it always felt weird and awkward. I was a beta tester for AOL, so I’ve been at this a while. Would love to help kick the tires of whatever you’re creating! I’m a veteran of old-fashioned forums and love Reddit with all its tradeoffs, so the more you make this inviting and full of info to bounce off of – much like the newsletters – the better!

Your idea about making this feel more like the newsletters, a place full of useful information that’s worth discussing and learning from each other, is exactly the direction we’re headed.

Yikes, I came here to thank you and I ran into one of those “pebbles in the shoe’ in just fashioning this reply – unlike Reddit etc., it opens the reply form in a pop-up form so you can’t see the thing you’re replying to, easily quote from it etc. So… I’m full of “free advice worth every penny!” (If I could stand the heat – literally – I’d seek out a job with ADG (you know what that stands for) in Phoenix. It’d be a blast! (OK, a blast furnace, but still…;-)

Oh and one more fun thing, to “be there” but out of my wife’s hair as caregiver, and to keep from going crazy(er), I recently used Base 44 to vibe-code a local news website, so I could keep my hand in the game, so to speak.
