Call with adopted mom in Taiwan

Karen in Los Angeles wanted to know how to do a video call with family in Taiwan who gave up a son for adoption.

Group calling on Skype will give the ability to record and using a translator hired on Upwork should do the job. As it will be a keepsake, you can edit the video and include the translation in closed captions and even use a sub-audio track to switch between original and translated versions.

You may have to use the translator for hire twice, once for the actual call and again to translate the keepsake in one shot.

Skype does offer a real-time translator. I’ve never used it so am not sure how well it works.
