Can you delete an email account if you don’t know the password?
Al from St. Louis, Missouri has created over 10 different Gmail accounts over the years. He wants to get rid of them all, but he doesn’t remember any of the passwords. He asked me if there are any secret tips or tricks for deleting them.
Sadly, I had bad news for him. If you can’t log in to an account, you can’t shut it down.
On the bright side, there are a few steps Al or anyone in his position can take. If you’re having trouble resetting your password or can’t sign in to your account, head to the account troubleshooter. Google will walk you through the rest.
