In a recent Kim Komando e-mail, she mentioned a Firefox [desktop] v84.0.2 browser-update to fix a “critical” security-flaw, but my Firefox browser cannot find it — What happened ?

      Hello leftblank15,

You should first determine what version you are currently running by doing the following: Click the menu button with the 3 horizontal lines, click Help and select About Firefox. The About Firefox window will appear. The version number is listed underneath the Firefox name.

You can see how install the latest and greatest version of Firefox by clicking here.

The e-mail was worded, poorly, the flaw was not IN v84.0.2, but rather, the flaw was in an earlier version of Firefox, and the FIX was in v84.0.2 .

I have since moved-on, to Firefox v85.0.1 , so this case is closed .
