      Hi,

I installed Ad Block a couple of weeks ago and since then I’ve been unable to watch Youtubers I follow. I’ve googled directions on how to do ths and even seen YT’s “directions” to do this but no luck. Keeping in mind that I’m elderly, can anyone help me with this?

      TIA

Did you try going to YouTube.com, opening Ad Block, and setting it to off?

      Hi BetaGary,

I went to YouTube.com but I don’t see any way to turn it off. It’s almost as if it isn’t “there”. When I go to Extensions on my PC it doesn’t show up there either, or in my Chrome Apps.

      Hello Shelagh Tillott-Booth,

If you are not seeing any extensions installed in Chrome I would first try to clear the browser’s cache, if that does not work I wonder if you are using a VPN with Ad-Block enabled.

      In Chrome
      On your computer, open Chrome.
At the top right, click More.
Click More tools. Clear browsing data.
At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
Next to “Cookies and other site data” and “Cached images and files,” check the boxes.
      Click Clear data.

      Hi John,

Thanks! I did everything you listed and the AdBlock icon is gone but when I try to get into YT I get this same message again: Ad blockers violate YT terms of Service- and when I click on that it comes up with Click the AdBlock icon in browser extension area again even though the AdBlock icon isn’t there anymore!

      Hello Shalagh Tillott-Booth,

What happens if you try using another Web Browser such as Microsoft Edge or even using Private Browsing mode in
      Google chrome?

Are you sure you are not using a VPN?

        Hi John,

Sorry for this very late response. I didn’t think there would be any more responses! I tried using Microsoft Edge and You Tube s working just fine with it.

        Thanks so much!

      Hi John,

No I’m not using a VPN, however after trying everything suggested I tried to run VPN Proxy VeePN but it wouldn’t work because of AdBlock which is still there.

I’m now using Private browsing mode in Google chrome and You Tube is working for me!

Thanks so much for your help!
