Help I am a Town Council Member in Bowman SC trying to work at improving search results for things to see in our town.

For example, when a search on YELP is done by me on my cell phone for restaurants, I see none within 5 miles, yet we have at least two that need to be recognized.

If we type in government offices our town hall does not show up. If we type in parks our parks do not show up.

There are numerous car-based travel data bases where a traveler by car can search and then use the information to use the old back roads.

I tried this on Trip Advisor, Waze, Yelp , Google Maps, ETC.

Here’s the help I think I need.

First if someone could provide a list of all valuable and important car travel sites with contact information on how to add the numerous things we want to promote such as local churches, historical markers, registry of National Buildings, schools, government buildings, parks, etc

Then any books or information on studying how to add this stuff if we have a volunteer to do the work.

Hello IKE,

What really needs to be done is that local businesses and offices you speak of, need to start adding themselves to Yelp or Google Maps. This data will be crawled and later indexed by the trip advisors, Waze etc.
