How does one change the Profile Photo and Cover Image. I go to Profile and click on “Change …” but that is as far as I can go. Is there a way to capture or copy/paste and image and put it within the dotted line box?

      Hi Mike,

On your profile, there’s a camera button to the top right of your cover image. Click on that, then scroll down a bit. You’ll see a section to drag and drop a cover image or choose one from your computer. Once here, there’s also a tab right under the wall and profile buttons where you can click to change your profile picture. The process to do this is very similar to the cover image. If you need to find a photo to use, either download a personal photo to your computer, or Google search for a photo you’d like to use, click “Save image as…” and save to your computer so you can then upload to your profile.

Let me know if you need any more help!

Thanks for the reply Jake. Still unable to add cover image (of my choice). I have uploaded images for cover & profile pic to my photos area. You mentioned a camera button on the right, mine is on the left. It gets me into the dialog for changing the image and I get the top part of a box that I assume you mean is the drag & drop area. This box only has three sides, no bottom, and the only thing under it are the lists of actions for Community, Connect, Komando.com (all in blue letters). It does not allow any drag/drop, etc. I am using Firefox browser. Is there a setting or something I have wrong?

Hi @mikecraig, we have a video toutorial for updating your cover and profile images. https://community.komando.com/how-to-set-up-your-profile/

If this does not work please let us know what browser and operating system you are using.

Hi @SarahKomando, I watched the video tutorial. I follow the instructions until I get to where the file selection area is. My problem is the 4-sided box where it shows the statements “Drag and Drop your file here” above the blue button “Select File” in the tutorial does not exist on my display. I get the top of the box (3-sides) and no statement or blue button. My browser is FireFox (latest version) and Windows 7. Thanks.

@mikecraig what size is your monitor? Just a wild guess, but I’m thinking maybe the site could’ve scaled to a smaller screen?

      Hey Jake,

I am having a heck of a time getting my photos uploaded from my computer to my cover photo area so they can appear the way I want them viewed. When I upload my photos, I am not able to move them around or zoom out. Yes, the polar bear looks interesting, and I could leave it the way it appears now, but I wanted to show it eating a piece of whale blubber on the ground. How do I move the photo around, and how do I zoom out on it to be viewed the way I want it to look?

You can not move or zoom the file once uploaded. If you resize the photo before uploading to 1200×300 you will get the best results with the least cropping.

Just use an image editing program to crop an resize the picture so it appears as you want it within those dimensions.
