I’m the song leader for a small church with no pianist. I currently use CD’s to play songs to sing to. I would like to move to a tablet or some such thing to play my mp3’s. I would connect it to my mixing board then out to the speakers. I want to avoid a Bluetooth connection.

What would you recommend as a good device to load my songs onto and also a good app to play them from allowing me to group the songs and create lists.

    Thanks, Karl

Hi Karl, How many songs do you need to store?

    Hello Karl,

What is the make and model of your mixing board? Are you looking to be able to walk around with the tablet, or are you fine with it being hardwired to the mixing board?

Sorry for the delay. The board was at the church. It is a Yamaha MG 10. It will be hard wired. I have the cable that plugs into a mini phono jack. The kind headphones use.

    Hey Karl,

Sounds like you are halfway there, you will want to use apple music for pretty much everything. You can tap or click here to see how to load ripped CD’s onto an iPad for offline playback, no cloud involved.

So the iPad is what I want? I’ve never owned an apple product.

I misinterpreted and thought you had an iPad.

Well, you could use an older cell phone or tablet with a headphone jack or the right adapter to convert to a headphone jack if required.
Even a fire tablet would do the job.

Tap or click https://amzn.to/3z9y6Z6 for a cheaper solution than an iPad.

Tap or click here to see how to upload media to the Kindle Fire tablet.
