Doesn’t see new disk

SSD went bad in HP15 laptop. Failed diagnostics. Replaced with same. Diagnostics sees it and tests okay. Trying to reload windows I can get the driver to load but can’t see the drive. Diskpart can’t see it either. Out of ideas.

Hello Michael,

I think you might be loading the wrong driver, does your laptop an 11th gen Intel processor, purchased around 2021?

If so take a look here and here, for a couple of writeups regarding the issue you are facing.

  You’re absolutely correct. I forgot all about making that decision. I didn’t stop to think I bought the laptop used about 2 years ago and they had it for 6 months. Who knows how long the retailer had it. It’s loading up now. Thank you.
