I have an Audible membership and in the past have been able to download files to my computer and transfer them to my mp3 player. I’m running Ubuntu on my computer and the files no longer transfer in a playable format. In searching for a solution, I came across software called Dumpmedia Audible Converter which claims to convert Audible files to an mp3 playable format. Is this a legitimate (and workable) solution? Audible doesn’t provide an Ubuntu compatible version of their file management system so I will become a former Audible member if I can’t find a solution.
