As the votes are still being counted, I am catching up on your “Tech You Should Know” podcast of Oct 2 with Max. The topics and information were very interesting. I wondered if you and Max might do a postmortem on our current election, especially since a number of questions pertain to electronic voting, the characteristics of voting data and mail-in ballots. It is disconcerting to discover a dead person could cancel my vote.
Some specific questions come to mind:
1. What types of forensic analyses can be performed on the voting data? What types expose fraud? Trend analysis ,Benford analysis, down ballot trends?
2. Is it true some electronic vote counting software was updated while the votes were being counted?
3. What attacks did occur?
