Email Hacking Question
Hello Kim K. community. I got an email from an acquaintance that I had not heard from in a long time. The email had a pdf attachment. The attachment asked a “verify if you’re human” question. I answered the question. I’m not sure what happened next. I don’t know if I downloaded the pdf or not. But I decided to the text the acquaintance to see if the email was legit and not from a hacked account since it had been a long time since I heard from her. She replied and said she indeed, had been hacked. Now I’m worried that I’ve been hacked too. I should have asked her if it was legit before I ever touched the email. Is it possible to be hacked from downloading a pdf?
