Our church Facebook account was hijacked. The person who managed the account reported this to FB giving them the appropriate ID materials to prove it was our manager. They came back some time later that the person who was currently using the account had proven they were the proper managers. The person now using our church account started posting family needing help and selling off items like power equipment, etc. Our manager contacted the NC AG, and they in turn contacted Facebook who took the account down, for a short period of time, then it was back up again. And now shows things like videos of people doing stupid things or clips of what you might find on Tic Tok. We have tried to remove content, is says we don’t have authority or something like that. We have started a new FBC account with a space between the FBC and name, but many of our older users, and anyone doing a search to find a church to attend if they are looking will most likely end up at the hijacked site instead of our real one. We have tr9ed to take it down, to no avail. We had close to 1k users before hijack, our new site has about 130 after 4 months. Any help would be most welcome.
