  • Fixing a hijacked DNS

We recently changed to a fiberoptic IP who installed an eero router.

However, upon going to whoismyDNS.com we learned our DNS has been hijacked.
    Reverse DNS chi40401.eerodns.com
IP Owner (From ARIN) RIPE Network Coordination Centre

This is NOT the DNS all our neighbors have.

Kim’s tip about changing DNS to 9.9.9.9 vs “default” 8.8.8.8 would seem to be the answer, but we can’t figure out how to load 9.9.9.9 per Kim’s instruction.

WOW. It worked! Not only that we used Kim’s quad 9 recommendation!
Can’t thank the Digital Goddess and her world-class staff, enough.
