My Samsung S22+ did an update #11 and with it installed a Beta version of Google. I hate it…my screen is dark wehn i try to google something and my maps are now dark. How can I get rid of it or even better completely reverse the install?

    Hello Jean Carr,

I found to withdraw from the beta program, you will need to do the following, which includes resetting your phone, but you can back it up first if you have the smart switch software installed.

    Smart Switch

From Samsung Members -> Settings -> One UI Beta Program Status -> Withdraw. Then plug the phone into your PC, and open up the PC version of smart Switch. Be sure to back up your phone since downgrading requires a factory reset. We recommend you try backing up your device and performing a master before moving back to Android 12.

Oddly enough, you cannot switch the beta to light mode reported here.

I am trying to go from 12 back to 11. 12 is what it upgraded to. Will what you suggested do this?

You should be able to go into settings → display and find a toggle for Dark Mode. It sounds like it was enabled upon install, by default. Turn it off by selecting the regular light mode, and that should fix that issue.
