My wife has ringing of the ears and TMJ real bad. Wireless EM makes it worse. We are elderly on fixed income. Eventually I want to hard wire our house and obtain a home security system. Most of the security systems are wireless now. We live in zip code 78063. Any ideas? Thanks much and God Bless!

OK so Gene replied to me on my wall that he is looking to eliminate the wireless network and have an old-fashioned wired security system.

Installing a wired security system is tough for a person at home to do.

You’ll need to run wires and should probably hire an electrician to help you complete the job. You see, every sensor will need to end up being run back to the sensor. Then you need a keypad for the alarm control panel, which means running more wires.

I would suggest you call a few reputable alarm companies such as Bay or if you know a local electrician and see if they can handle the job for you. This is more than a DIY project.

You might consider alarms on windows and doors that don’t tie back into a whole system as an option.

I cannot do alarm installation myself. I lack technical skills, mobility and vision. Too bad everything seems to have gone to wireless mode including our blasted smart meter. Will attempt to find EM shielding for whole house and will contact our ISP for non-wireless option. Thanks much!
