In March, my horse will give birth in the barn 100 yards from the house, beyond wifi. The barn does have electricity. I want to be able to wake up in the night, get on my laptop and turn on a monitor in the barn and view in real time video. I could set up my android, pointed at the stall, if there’s a way to turn it on, from the house. I don’t need motion activated video. I don’t need to store video. I’ll only need this setup for about 6 weeks. What do I need?
I currently use Alfred Camera which you can acquire from here, you will have to be sure the phone is always connecting to a power outlet. Along with being sure you do not allow Android to battery optimize the app so it will run continuously. Once signed up it is very easy to start viewing, it even allows you to remotely control the flash on the camera for extra light.
Let us know how it goes.
