Jim from Fort Worth, Texas wants to record content from a streaming service on his TV. First, I told him to try using his Roku box.

If that doesn’t work, he can also try using a Cloner Alliance Pro box, or CAP for short. I told him to plug his Fire TV into the CAP box, then attach an external USB hard disk drive for recording. Then, he’d connect the CAP box to the TV.

He can set a schedule for recording on the CAP box, but he still has to manually start the OANN stream or any stream on the Fire TV every day. He would just need a 2 TB external HDD.

It may sound complicated. Luckily, there are a lot of resources online. Here’s a helpful YouTube tutorial Jim can use to set it all up.
