Diane from Little River, South Carolina has many photos on Apple iCloud but is tired of paying for it. She wants to transfer her collection to an external drive.

Luckily, there’s an easy way to download your entire iCloud photo library. Follow these steps on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch:

      1. Head to iCloud.com.
      2. Click on Photos.
      3. Hit Select. Then, select a photo or video you want to back up. To back up your entire library, just tap Select All.
      4. Tap more.
      5. Select Download.
      6. To confirm, tap Download again.

Although you can transfer these photos to a USB drive, I recommend still using the cloud. What would you do if you lost your physical drive? If you don’t want to use Apple iCloud anymore, I recommend using iDrive as a cloud-based storage option.

Consider it a way of getting peace of mind. Good news: You can save a whopping 90% when you sign up at IDrive.com and use the promo code “Kim” at checkout.
