Printer connected to APC New BN450M BATT/SURGE protector shuts off printer while printing.

Replaced APC with new Batt/surge protector. SAME RESULTS. red/green/beeping

APC book says Detected Overload, But nothing else was plugged into APC

Printer 4 years old. Current tested was 4.8 amps, data label on printer allows 6 amps.

repluged printer into same APC surge protector but not Batt/Surge, only the Surge receptacle, Then it works fine,

    Hello,

Laser printers shouldn’t be plugged into an UPS because they have high power demands, including peak power draw during warm-up or printing, which can overload the UPS, especially those with non-sinewave models. This can lead to the UPS shutting down, voiding the warranty, and potentially damaging both the UPS and the printer.

I’m sure it is drawing more than 4 amps when you actually print something.
