Hi Janel,
Good move changing your Yahoo password. As for seeing the account twice, that’s likely just because it’s set up on both Apple Mail and the Yahoo Mail app, not necessarily a sign of a break-in. Same with the profile picture, an unfamiliar photo alone doesn’t mean someone got into your account.
That said, let’s cover our bases. Here’s what I’d do:
- Head to Yahoo’s Account Security page and check your recent activity, recovery phone number, and recovery email.
- Sign out of any devices or sessions you don’t recognize.
- Turn on two-step verification if it’s not already on.
- Look through Yahoo Mail for any forwarding addresses or filters you didn’t set up.
- On your iPhone, go to Settings > [your name] and check which devices are connected to your Apple Account. Remove anything unfamiliar.
As for the blank Webroot page, that’s probably unrelated to your phone’s security, more likely a browser or site issue on their end. Try restarting your iPhone and opening Webroot directly in Safari. If it’s still blank, you’ll need to reach out to Webroot’s support team directly here: https://www.webroot.com/about/contact-us/. We’re not able to troubleshoot or access your account with them.
One more thing: if you spot any messages you didn’t send, password-reset requests you didn’t make, unrecognized devices, or changes to your recovery info, please contact Yahoo or Apple Support right away.
