Thanks for joining the community, to use the tablets as a cloud connected cameras you can use Alfred Camera which offers a free and paid for version of the application. This app will allow you to turn your phone or tablet into a security camera.

If you can provide more information on what you are trying to do I can possibly assist better.

My mom lives 26miles from me. She has the internet as well as I do. I would like to leave the tablet on at her house. Then, when I need to I can turn my tablet on and see what’s going on live.

You would not be able to view a live feed of the tablet, however you can trigger screenshots of the screen activity XNSPY and TOS, XNSPY looks to be the better product, come back and let us know what you went with.
