• Hi there Gene, I understand and share the frustration. When Glance started popping up on my screen after a recent update, I wanted to get rid of it, but couldn’t figure out how. I figured it out! Good news is, while it is a system app baked into the phone, you can disable it by doing the following:

  • Open your phone’s Settings app.

  • Tap on Home & Lock Screen, then select Lock Screen.

  • Tap on Smart Lock Screen (or Glance for Moto) and toggle the feature Off

  For Google assistant, here is how to turn that off also:

  • Open the Google app on your phone.

  • Tap your Profile picture in the top right corner.

  • Select Settings, then tap Google Assistant.

  • Tap General, and toggle Google Assistant Off.
