Purchased fiberoptic and 400/400 mbps fios wireless, only getting 68 mbps after installing expressvpn and roboform. Will that slow down mbps? Remember telling fios that I had three computers and 2 cell phones, TV, and online phone. However installed extender for rest of family in house and I find I have 18 devices using my wireless. Will that slow down my speed test results? I just bought a new I9 laptop, I got over 350 mbps upon first try, now I get 68 mbps. What do you recommend I do?

Firstly you do not want to be running speed test while on a VPN. You will never achieve the same speeds as if you were not using a VPN.

Second you might want to remove the wireless extender if it is not hard wired and run another test, with the main Wireless Access Point.

If speeds look good while on the main access point you might want to consider hard wiring some Eero devices, instead of using an extender.

Non hard wired extenders typically cut your speeds in half, then adding multiple devices to the mix speeds will continue to degrade.

While testing you may also want to turn off as many wireless devices connected to your access points to see if it makes any difference.

Thanks Usirname, It was faster before the extender was installed. To be clear are you recommending a cat 5 cable from my wireless router to Eero device?

That is correct, you will get the best signal quality if the Eero device is hard wired with a Cat 5 cable.
