I would like info on using passkeys vs password vaults. We use iphones, macbooks and window computers. What is the best and most secure way to protect ourselves?

      Hello John Whitehurst,

      Great question, here’s a breakdown.

      Passkeys
A new type of authentication that uses cryptographic keys to generate a unique credential for each user. Passkeys are more secure than passwords because they are resistant to phishing and other social engineering attacks. Passkeys are also more secure because they use a dual-key authentication system, where a public key is stored on the server and a private key is stored on the user’s device. Passkeys are authenticated using biometric methods like fingerprints or facial recognition.

      Password vaults
A tool that can be used to manage passwords, including storing them in a secure vault, controlling access, and automating best practices. Password vaults can also help to combat identity theft and record sessions

How does using passkeys different from using a vault such as dashlane or lastpass?
