Every time win10 resets the proxy server gets turned on. I don’t have a proxy server. How do I shut this off permanently?

    Hello Dave,

What version of windows are you running? winkey+r will open run dialog box, key in winver and hit enter. You will get a prompt showing your version of windows, let us know which version it is.

Might you possibly have any network related software installed? Neat write up HERE outlining a few steps you can take for running system file check and using DISMto verify integrity of your operating system data.

As always be sure to have a recent backup of all of your data before further troubleshooting.

Running windows 10 and it keeps doing this and now, the new edge browser doesn’t even take me there to turn it off. At least with the ols Edge there was a link directly to the problem when it happened.

    Hello Dave,

Your best bet is to perform a clean install of Windows 10 after making a backup, you can find out how here on Komando.com
