Red dot next to text messages
I use an android and next to a lot of my text messages is a red circle with a number in it. Does that mean others are able to view the text?

What happens when you read the text messages with the red circle and a number, does the circle go away after reading the message in its entirety.

The red dot goes away after I read the text.
