      Hello, Dear Friends,
Anyone know how to rotate the orientation of a mp4 video 90 degrees?
1st minute of video is correct orientation. Only need to reorient the last 4 minutes.
Please help. Will I need to download some type of freeware to accomplish this task?
      Looking forward to your advice.

I initially recorded the m04 video on my Android phone, then successfully transferred it to my PC.

      Hello rfeke,

You can use the Windows 10 Photos app to rotate your video.

On Windows 10 you may use the Windows Photo Gallery or Photos App to view images. On Windows Photo Gallery you may right-click on the image after viewing it, and you get an option, “Rotate” which enables the image to rotate. You also have an option on the bottom right will rotation symbols to rotate the picture or video left or right.

If you are on the Photos App, you may use the Ctrl + R keys combination to rotate the image. You can also rotate the image manually by clicking on the round (rotating) arrow symbol.

      Source.

I believe that I did what you had advised.

What I had neglected to tell you previously was that roughly the 1st minute of the video is the correct orientation, then the remaining
4:30 minutes are displayed incorrectly. I executed the rotation command briefly after the 1st minute, an action that corrected the
orientation of the subsequent 4:30 minutes. However, though the last 4:30 minutes are displayed in the correct orientation, the 1st minute is not.

Is there any way to restrict the rotation command to just specified minutes of the video? Or does the rotation command apply to the entire video?

      Please advise when able.

      Regards,
      Robert Feke

      Hello Robert,

Tap or click here for a great YouTube video on using the video editor to trip and splice video clips.

Make a copy of your file > trim and rotate the first part of your video, then save that file.

Open the original or a second copy, and import the fixed rotated video to overlay the non-rotated part or create two clips and splice.

      I hope that helps.
