Not sure if I will ever be able to find my way back to this page and answer to my question. But what the heck. I am a 70 year veteran who does not have much tech knowledge. Having issue with my router which is probably about 10 years old. What is best router to get at a reasonable price? The reason for my question is I have spectrum internet and can not get service. Was asked by rep form spectrum if I had issue with my router. Based on age of my router it could be time to get a new one. So, what do i need to look for in a new router?
Thanks for any help. And I hope everyone had a safe and great 4th of July. Stay safe all of you.

      Hi there Bill,

Thanks for stopping by and thank you for your service to our country.

Yes, after 10 years you definitely need a new router. Hopefully, your underwear isn’t that old too! Just kidding!

Here are some affordable routers that are easy to set up:

If you have a small home and you’re on a budget, this TP-Link is easy to set up:

If you have a small to medium sized home,

If you have a lot of devices connected to the network, stream TV, and need to cover your whole home, Eero is the choice.

(Full disclosure: Eero is a sponsor of my show but they did not pay me to write about them here. I bought Eero and installed in my own home 2 years before they were a sponsor.)

Let us know if you need a hand with anything here. Here for you, Bill!

      Kim
