I have heard of an app that allows you to photograph items in a physical album without handling the original photo.

These are photos that someone glued in or are to delicate to handle.

It was discussed on the radio in the last year or so.

You might be thinking of Google PhotoScan, you can find it for IOS or Android devices.

A better solution may be using something like the Sharper Image Rapid Photo Album Scanner
