I had some 8MM movies put onto DVD’s now I need to down load them onto my laptop and edit them then burn some DVD’s for my brothers. I also have 3 or 4 VHS tapes I would like to download them and edit and burn on DVD’s. I need the software to do this. Thanks JC

    Hello Joe,

Regarding your DVD’s you can use a piece of software called Handbrake, you can find a guide here on ripping DVD’s to your local computer.

Regarding making copies of your older VHS tapes you will need a video capture device if you do not already have one, this one in particular comes with software for you to use. You do not have to use the software that comes with the device or if you already have a video capture device you can use free software such as OBS or Open Broadcast Software to record the video.
