  Storage Gmail, tried to delete photos from Google drive

  Hi!
  I’m out of storage on gmail. I deleted my photos from Google Drive. To my dismay, the photos disappeared from my iPhone. I went back to Google drive and archived all the “deleted” pics. I then went to iCloud when I remembered my photos were there, and restored to my phone.

  I want to free up storage on gmail. How can I delete from Drive, but not lose the photos from my phone?
