I am looking for a way to sync outlook contacts (Version 2409 Build 16.0.18025.20160) 64-bit) with my android phone. We shave a desktop and lenovo laptop, 2 Moto one smart phones. I cannot seem to find current instructions on how to do this.

    Thanks
    John M.

    Hello JohnM76,

What type of mail account are you using with outlook? Gmail, Outlook.com, Yahoo.com? I can better answer your question with this information.

    Hello johnM75,

Method 1: Sync Contacts via the Outlook App
Install the Outlook app if you haven’t already from the Google Play Store.
Sign in to the Outlook app with your Office 365 account.
Once signed in, go to Settings (tap your profile picture or initials in the top left corner).
Select your Office 365 account under “Mail Accounts.”
Toggle on “Sync Contacts” for Outlook. This will sync your Office 365 contacts with your phone’s contacts app.

Method 2: Sync Contacts via Android Settings
Open Settings on your Android phone and go to Accounts.
Tap on Add Account and choose Exchange or Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.
Enter your Office 365 email and password. (For certain devices, you might need your domain and server details. The server for Office 365 is usually outlook.office365.com.)
Allow permissions as prompted to sync contacts.
Select what you’d like to sync (Mail, Contacts, Calendar, etc.), and make sure Contacts is enabled.
Tap on Save and your contacts should start syncing.

Method 1 did not work. When I tried Method 2 and had some results but, I am not sure of the results, I deleted 1 contact on my phone, but it did not delete on my laptop. I must do a little more research. I did find that I had entries for, Facebook, Messenger, OneDrive, Truth Social and, X. I did not add these, not sure about One Drive. wife and I share mailboxes and calendar always works. The address book does not work. I will add my wife’s exchange email to my phone and see what happens. Even though I am retired I do not have time to do what I want. 🙂
