TotalAV conflicting with Microsoft antivirus
I updated my windows computer today and when I turned on my computer later, I noticed my TotalAV and Microsoft antivirus were both turned off! I had a bit of difficulty trying to get Microsoft antivirus to turn off! Is there a way to get Microsoft antivirus removed so I don’t get these issues? Either these updates screwed everything up or I don’t know what to do??

Hello Diane,
Upon installation of TotalAV it should have disabled windows defender, you might want to make sure windows is up to date, along with un / reinstalling Total AV. You should never run two different Antivirus software at the same time.
After installing Total AV again you might see a dialogue prompt from windows Defender wanting to turn itself back on, at this point you should choose the ignore option.
