A family member is transitioning from a Samsung SCH-U460 flip phone to an iPhone. Is there a way to download or transfer the contacts from the flip phone to the smart phone (or upload to gmail contacts)? She does have a gmail account but, unfortunately, her contacts are not currently stored there and she has a lot of pictures that she’d like to keep too. Her phone service provider is not able to help her. Thanks for your advice on how best to proceed.
Teresa, you may be able to use Verizon backup from the phone to export them and import them into the iPhone, but I cannot find any info on if it is supported by Verizon any longer
Samsung has a utility for old phones here
Otherwise here are instructions for the same type phone using a PC and software
USB cable for both above software here
If neither works, the last resort is to sit down and re-enter them on the iPhone manually, from there they will sync with iCloud so you don’t have to do this again
