I plan to purchase a new iPad (eight generation) and transfer data from my iPad, IOS 14.4 (fifth generation). I have Apple’s instruction for transfer by Quick Start or iCloud. This is my first transfer so I am apprehensive about which method is the easiest to follow. My WIFI is fast and stable. Do I need to charge the new iPad first? Do I need Bluetooth turned on since I use this speaker?

Thanks for any recommendation for either transfer method.

      Hello MUTigerFan,

Thanks for visiting us on the forums with your question, I highly recommend using the Quick Start method. It is really straight forward, however I would be sure to have made a backup of the Ipad first.

You should definitely make sure the new iPad is fully charged before transferring your data, having Bluetooth turned on will not matter when transferring data between your devices, however they both should be connected to the same wireless network.

Thanks John from TeamKomando. I will use the Quick Smart method.
