Each day I look through news sources for interesting items to send to my friends. It’s a small list, no more than 10 people. I find a news item, copy it, paste it to an e-mail, and send it to my friends.
There is one problem: copying Tweets. When I copy a tweet within an article, it isn’t transferred to the outgoing e-mail. The rest of the article does transfer, but not the tweet.
Is there a way of copying a whole article, tweets and all, and pasting it to the e-mail, so I can send the whole thing to my friends? I SWEAR I used to be able to do it, and maybe it’s a button I need to find and press to be able to do it again.
Does anyone know how to copy an article, tweets and all, to paste into an e-mail?
Have you tried using the Snipping Tool which is a tool accessed from a Windows pc? You would perform a New snip & drag your cursor around the entire article, then from that Snipping tool menu Choose Edit, Do a Copy. You would then be able to Paste that copy into the email Message area of the email message you are sending. OR, you can just use the snipping tool to copy only the TWEET that lately won’t copy for you correctly now.
Interesting. I could use it under the right circumstances. BUT … what is the SNIP command. And the snipping menu. There’s a lot of stuff I’ve never discovered in Windows, I guess, and this is one of them.
OK, I have been trying it, thank you. I have a question, though. The articles I copy are large, but the snip tool does not let me go below the area I see. I can’t bring the snip lower than that, though I would need to get an entire article. I see there are other modes than rectangular, but what do I end up with? What should I select to get the whole thing, and how do I then get it to the e-mail and trim to the size I need. I am so new to the snip that you told me about that using it for what I need isn’t apparent to me.
