I’m using a netgear modem/router combined. I’m unable to update because they don’t have one, so I’m sure it’s vulnerable. Any suggestion on one I could purchase that has a means to update? I’m currently a Cox cable internet customer and prefer a combined unit but I’ll go back to separate if that’s the safest and best route for optimal wifi.
    Thanks

    Hello Jan,

Happy to assist, what is the square footage of your home, this will assist in making the best decision on a replacement. We also have a router quiz available here. None of these solutions are combo devices so you would need a cable modem like this one here which will work with Cox internet.

    Hello Jan,

Thanks for getting back, for that size home I do not think you will need a wireless mesh system, I’m recommending this AsusAX6000 WiFi 6 Cable Modem Wireless Router Combo. If you have any issues, you have 30 days to return and then get an alternative mesh/cable modem solution that would be a little more costly.

    Best of luck!
