A couple was traveling from Colorado to Florida and had a blowout near me in Louisiana. The dog was wearing an air tag. Is there any way that can help find her, at least a general location? How close would I have to be to her for her to ping my phone? Is there any way they can share her air tag with me? They have gone on to Florida to meet their granddaughter I am trying to help find their weimeraner. She ran into a swampy area and that may be a big problem, but we are hoping she comes out looking for food eventually. Thanks!

They can share an airtag location with you following these instructions from Apple
      https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/share-airtag-item-find-iphone-iph419cc5f28/ios

According to Apple you would need to be within 33 feet for the airtag to relay the info to update the location.

And that was the problem! She ran into a swamp! The AirTag was useless. Everyone that uses them for their dog needs to look into a Fi collar. On a happy note…we found her!
