Computer: Lenovo Flexpad 5-1470 Model 80XA, running Microsoft Windows current version that includes One Drive – Personal

I was organizing files in file manager…with a main file and ~10 subfolders plus underneath the main file I had individual files that I wanted to put into a separate folder. I clicked the check box to the left of those files, right clicked the mouse and moved them over to the new file folder I had made for them. All of a sudden the computer took on a life of it’s own, moving up and down the stack of folders in that category. I hit Esc to try and stop it but it just kept going. When the flashing and moving up and down the stack of folder was finished, every single item I had in the folders was gone EXCEPT for the two things I had downloaded and filed the day before. Is there any way i can get my files back, mostly .pdfs. (I may be able to recover some from a previous backup but nothing recent.)

      Hello Gerald,

What directory were your documents saved in and what directory were you trying to move them to, have you tried using the search function for any of your missing files?
