How to sync different laptops in your home
Phill from Hartford, Connecticut is having trouble with his Dell laptops not syncing. For instance, he will download something onto his Google Favorites folder while using his downstairs computer. Later, when using his upstairs computer, he checks Google Favorites and didn’t find what he saved earlier.
Luckily, I know what he can do. If you’re in Phill’s shoes, follow these steps on one of two browsers:
Firefox
- Open the menu in the top right of Firefox and select “Sign in to Sync”.
- Click “Get started” in the tab that opens.
- Enter an email address and password to “Create a Firefox Account.”
- Click “Next” to get a verification sent to your email.
After you check your email and click the verification link, Firefox will start automatically syncing in the background.
Google Chrome
- Sign in and turn on sync.
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click Profile.
- Sign in to your Google Account.
- If you want to sync your info across all your devices, click Turn on sync. Turn on.
